The google asked me to create this page to verify I own this site (blog). Will this work?

I was worried since wordpress.com would NOT let me create google90f97d2eba0b801b.html – instead converting the “.html” extension into “-html” at the end of an extensionless filename. Not good. Or is it?

Turns out that WordPress does the same conversion when someone tries to access google90f97d2eba0b801b.html; it redirects to google90f97d2eba0b801b-html! So I am good. Now verified.
